Foreign est un groupe fran\u00e7ais, conduit par Ivan Jacquin et enrichi par un tr\u00e8s grand nombre d\u2019invit\u00e9s, parmi lesquels St\u00e9phane Van de Capelle, Florian Pothiat, Geoffrey Baumont et Marie Desdemone Xolin.<\/p>\n

Cet album, qui a mis 15 ans \u00e0 voir le jour (et pour cause…), est en fait un op\u00e9ra rock racontant l\u2019histoire du \u00ab\u00a0juif errant\u00a0\u00bb (tout droit inspir\u00e9 du r\u00e9cit de Jean d\u2019Ormesson). Pour ceux qui ne le connaissent pas, il s\u2019agit du personnage l\u00e9gendaire du juif maudit qui ne peut perdre la vie car il a perdu la mort. Pour simplifier: il est immortel. Il erre de part le monde et apparait de temps en temps. Il devient populaire au XVIe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle sous le nom d\u2019Ahasverus. Nous retrouvons donc ce personnage dans ce voyage musical qui nous emm\u00e8ne successivement en Orient, en Espagne, en Irlande et m\u00eame en Chine.<\/p>\n

L\u2019album est donc tr\u00e8s riche avec des morceaux d\u2019inspirations vari\u00e9es (folk, symphonique, heavy, orientale\u2026), passant d’un style \u00e0 l’autre. Diversit\u00e9 qui, malheureusement, manque justement parfois d\u2019un fil conducteur qui harmoniserait l\u2019ensemble…<\/p>\n

Si les titres nous font voyager sur la Terre, il s\u2019agit \u00e9galement d\u2019un voyage dans le temps, Ahasvarus \u00e9tant immortel.<\/p>\n

Pour conclure, peu de d\u00e9fauts sur l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019opus. Les dialogues, les voix et les guitares… tout est beau et bien jou\u00e9. Chaque chanson \u00e9tant en elle-m\u00eame un petit bijou, l’ensemble fait de \u00ab\u00a0Symphony of the Wandering Jew\u00a0\u00bb un bel \u00e9crin.<\/p>\n

Cet album est vraiment \u00e0 conseiller lors de vos prochains achats\u2026 Et imaginez ces morceaux (notamment \u00ab\u00a0Operation Mindcrime\u00a0\u00bb) jou\u00e9s sur sc\u00e8ne! Ce serait parfait\u00a0!<\/p>\n
