Quatre Fran\u00e7ais dans le vent, et voici Stomb, un groupe de Metal progressif n\u00e9 en 2012 et qui sort son premier album, sobrement intitul\u00e9 The Grey<\/em> . Un album instrumental, donc a priori moins fun \u00e0 \u00e9couter – eh oui, on aime quand \u00e7a grawl de toute part ! Un choix courageux de la part de Stomb, qui nous entra\u00eene avec The Grey<\/em>, dans un univers sombre de fin du monde. L’artwork a la couleur du titre de l’album et est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussi, tr\u00e8s moderne et ne donne pas une avalanche d’informations lourdes. Bien entendu, avec un tel titre, on pense au film de Joe Carnahan, un drame tr\u00e8s dur sur la mort, et l’incapacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9chapper \u00e0 son destin.\u00a0 Finalement, avec cet album The Grey<\/em>, on est aussi dans le theme ! Comme tout bon album de prog qui se respecte, on explore diff\u00e9rentes ambiances d’un titre \u00e0 l’autre et on s’aper\u00e7oit vite qu’on a \u00e9couter tout l’album d’une traite, sans regretter le c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0sans parole\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Les titres sont longs pour la plupart – pr\u00e8s de neuf minutes pour le premier The Complex<\/em>, par exemple – et constituent chacun un univers particulier :\u00a0 Une intro tr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0Meshuggah\u00a0\u00bb pour le titre Under the Grey<\/em>, une reposante ballade pour The Crossing, <\/em>un peu d’\u00e9lectro,… The Grey<\/em>, c’est un album original et soign\u00e9 o\u00f9 tous les musiciens sont mis en valeur, un album\u00a0 s’\u00e9coute \u00e0 fond ou en fond, une atmosph\u00e8re tr\u00e8s dark et captivante. The Grey<\/em>, C’est l’album qui va r\u00e9veiller votre c\u00f4t\u00e9 obscur ! Si vous voulez conna\u00eetre un peu mieux les quatre parisiens de Stomb et ce premier album tr\u00e8s prometteur, rendez-vous sur leur facebook : fb.com\/Stombofficial<\/a>. Mon titre favori : Veins of Asphalt <\/em>, une m\u00e9lodie tr\u00e8s heavy, vraiment superbe.
