Pour ceux qui auraient un doute, il s\u2019agit bien du Wolf su\u00e9dois (pas l\u2019australien, ni m\u00eame le nippon ou le mexicain). Cet album est le 7\u00e8me<\/sup> du groupe form\u00e9 en 1995 avec Niklas St\u00e5lvind le chanteur\/guitariste, seul rescap\u00e9 du line-up originel, aujourd\u2019hui accompagn\u00e9 par d\u2019autres membres relativement r\u00e9cents.<\/p>\n

Pour en revenir \u00e0 cet opus sorti en ao\u00fbt, commencer par un instrumental n\u2019est pas du meilleur effet et j\u2019aurais plut\u00f4t vu le morceau au milieu, voire \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019album\u2026 mais enfin, c\u2019est une affaire de go\u00fbt. Pour ce qui est des influences du groupe, pas besoin d\u2019aller bien loin! Iron Maiden, Helloween, Primal Fear, Pink Cream 69\u2026 D\u2019ailleurs, la voix du chanteur me rappelle fortement celle d\u2019un Andy Deris au mieux de sa forme quand il officiait encore au sein de Pink Cream 69.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

En deuxi\u00e8me morceau, on trouve un \u00ab\u00a0Shark Attack\u00a0\u00bb bien rentre dedans, et, si on continue les comparaisons, c\u2019est un titre qui pourrait parfaitement figurer dans un Primal Fear\u2026 Wolf poursuit ensuite sur sa lanc\u00e9e sans nous laisser de r\u00e9pit avec \u00ab\u00a0Skeleton Woman\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0Surgeons of Lobotomy\u00a0\u00bb, toujours dans un style heavy teuton. Le morceau \u00ab\u00a0I am pain\u00a0\u00bb semble tout droit sorti du \u00ab\u00a0Dark Side\u00a0\u00bb d\u2019Helloween mais n\u2019en est pas pour autant une copie parfaite.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bref, le groupe encha\u00eene les morceaux pour le plus grand plaisir des oreilles et donne une furieuse envie de bouger la t\u00eate en cadence. Les musiciens gardent le tempo jusqu\u2019au morceau \u00ab\u00a0Killing Floor\u00a0\u00bb qui cl\u00f4ture l\u2019album.<\/p>\n

Certes \u00ab\u00a0Devil Seed \u00bb ne brille pas par son originalit\u00e9 mais il a le m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre agr\u00e9able \u00e0 \u00e9couter et plut\u00f4t bien produit. En revanche, ce n\u2019est toujours pas brillant du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la pochette\u2026<\/p>\n
