Mais qui se cache derri\u00e8re ce calamar g\u00e9ant? Un homme multi-t\u00e2che (comme quoi, \u00e7a existe), qui, dans la vie de tous les jours, s’appelle Pierre et vient de Belgique.<\/p>\n

Avec la jolie pochette un peu r\u00e9tro de son premier EP , on plonge dans l’univers feutr\u00e9 d’un cabaret sous marin, o\u00f9 est tranquillement pos\u00e9 le personnage de Squidhead . Il ne reste plus qu’\u00e0 l’\u00e9couter.<\/p>\n

Autant vous pr\u00e9venir : vous n’entendrez pas le son de sa voix. Uniquement \u00a0celui des ses multiples instruments ! Cinq titres au cours desquels le c\u00e9phalopode nous montre qu’il s’y entend aussi bien en basse qu’en guitare ou batterie.<\/p>\n

Le premier morceau \u00ab\u00a0Riding the Octopus\u00a0\u00bb – comme \u00e7a on reste dans l’univers sous-marin – a une intro puissante et carr\u00e9e, on sent le fan de Meshuggah ! J’avais un peu d’appr\u00e9hension \u00e0 l’id\u00e9e d’\u00e9couter un EP uniquement instrumental ;\u00a0mais ce premier single est vari\u00e9 et propose des univers tr\u00e8s inattendus.\u00a0Et c’est le cas en fait pour le reste de \u00ab\u00a0Prohibition\u00a0\u00bb. L’artiste est cr\u00e9atif et la musique passe du rock pur et entrainant \u00e0 des sons plus m\u00e9lodiques. C’est coh\u00e9rent et jamais lassant.<\/p>\n

En bref, les mots ne manquent pas \u00e0 Squidhead, sa zic est d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s expressive. Alors on esp\u00e8re un album pour bient\u00f4t et allez, soyons fou, une tourn\u00e9e dans la foul\u00e9e ! Parce que la rubrique \u00ab\u00a0Tour\u00a0\u00bb est un peu vide \u00e0 mon gout.<\/p>\n
