Eh bien voil\u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0Glamour of the Kill\u00a0\u00bb aka GOTK et leur 2\u00e8me album \u00ab\u00a0Savages\u00a0\u00bb. Une pochette au design tr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0dark\u00a0\u00bb, o\u00f9 l’on voit un visage humain se faire d\u00e9vorer par des squelettes d’animaux. Bon. \u00c7a passe pour du Death . Du coup,\u00a0 je suis un peu mitig\u00e9e. Et je vais le rester pour la suite (ouais, je casse un peu le suspense, tu m’en voudras pas).<\/p>\n

Attention, l’album n’est pas mauvais. Il est m\u00eame assez sympathique, avec quelques titres accrocheurs comme \u00ab\u00a0Live for the weekend\u00a0\u00bb qui se retient comme une chanson populaire. Je tire d’ailleurs mon chapeau \u00e0 Ben Thomson, le batteur, impeccable du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin, sans doute le zicos le plus int\u00e9ressant de la formation. Mais M. Davey Richmond et ses comparses abusent un peu des choeurs qui font \u00ab\u00a0hohoho\u00a0\u00bb, et , s’ils sont estampill\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0Metalcore\u00a0\u00bb, on pourrait aussi les ranger au rayon \u00ab\u00a0Heavy\u00a0\u00bb ou m\u00eame \u00ab\u00a0Pop Music\u00a0\u00bb. Le titre \u00ab\u00a0Second Chance\u00a0\u00bb est un bon exemple: c’est un son pop rock qui a la p\u00eache mais tr\u00e8s lisse et propret, tr\u00e8s adolescent, en fait.\u00a0 On les compare souvent \u00e0 Bullet For My Valentine,\u00a0mais un rapprochement avec Simple Plan ou est tout a fait possible avec cet album. Ce jeune groupe semble un peu chercher son style et son public.<\/p>\n

Bref, un album \u00e0 offrir \u00e0 son ado faussement rebelle.<\/p>\n
