Pour \u00eatre tout \u00e0 fait honn\u00eate, je ne connaissais pas le groupe de Black\/Death Necrophobic<\/i> avant d\u2019\u00e9crire cette chronique. \u00c9tant de nature curieuse, je me suis empress\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9couter leurs \u0153uvres pass\u00e9es, en commen\u00e7ant par leur premier album, \u00ab\u00a0The Nocturnal Silence\u00a0\u00bb, sortit en 1992.<\/p>\n

Coup de foudre. Je tombe amoureuse imm\u00e9diatement. Le groupe alterne entre un death old-school bien violent et des passages black tr\u00e8s m\u00e9lodiques, les solos sont magistraux et le chant se place parfaitement sur l\u2019ensemble. En clair, rien \u00e0 redire. M\u00eame si tout leurs albums ne se ressemblent pas, aucun ne me d\u00e9\u00e7oit et mon engouement pour ce groupe continue de grandir.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est avec cet enthousiasme que j\u2019\u00e9coute leur nouvel EP, \u00ab\u00a0Mirror Black\u00a0\u00bb. Il sera de courte dur\u00e9e. Premi\u00e8re surprise, il ne comporte qu\u2019un seul titre in\u00e9dit, la deuxi\u00e8me piste \u00e9tant une reprise live du morceau \u00ab\u00a0Darkside\u00a0\u00bb, parut sur l\u2019album \u00e9ponyme en 1997. L\u2019EP en est forc\u00e9ment r\u00e9duit, le titre \u00ab\u00a0Mirror Black\u00a0\u00bb ne durant que 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

J\u2019ai beau \u00e9couter et r\u00e9\u00e9couter le morceau, rien y fait, la magie n\u2019op\u00e8re pas. Hormis un solo de guitare a\u00e9rien tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant de par sa m\u00e9lodie, l\u2019ensemble me para\u00eet fade, presque trop propre et calcul\u00e9. Les passages plus bourrins d\u00e9tonnent avec l\u2019ensemble du morceau. Le \u00ab\u00a0refrain\u00a0\u00bb est sans surprise. La d\u00e9sillusion totale. Le groupe perds son aura sinistre qui semblait lui coller \u00e0 la peau depuis ses d\u00e9buts, celle qui a fait que comme beaucoup d\u2019autres je suis tomb\u00e9e sous son charme. J\u2019esp\u00e8re qu\u2019il la retrouvera sur un prochain album.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
