Je me suis plong\u00e9e dans une vibrante immersion introspective en \u00e9coutant l’EP de 4 titres de Flodd Peak (traduisez \u00ab\u00a0Pic d’inondation\u00a0\u00bb)\u00a0: sorte de descente aux enfers \u00e0 l’atmosph\u00e8re d\u00e9finitivement d’inspiration Neurosienne dans ce qu’ils ont de plus Doom-Metal-Sludge (le chanteur \u00e0 un grain de voix hurlant et me fait beaucoup penser \u00e0 Scott Kelly).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Les morceaux sont des vagues progressives, une obscure latence fait place \u00e0 des riffs \u00e9nergiques qui font vrombir l’air environnant. Les titres sont construits avec des interludes hypnotiques qui me mettent en transe mais ce calme apparent n’est que transitoire quand le batteur se met \u00e0 marteler \u00e7a devient jouissif\u00a0!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Leur musique a un rythme pesant et lourd\u00a0mais le rendu global n’est pas soporifique car c’est plut\u00f4t la hargne qui l’emporte au final\u00a0!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tout au long de cet EP un tsunami intense gronde, leur son est puissant et le tout est un savant dosage parfaitement bien orchestr\u00e9.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Surveillez bien ce jeune trio de Portland (USA), il risque de faire parler de lui\u00a0!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
