En 2015, Cammie Gilbert vient apporter sa voix au combo texan. En 3 albums et un EP, le groupe a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 se forger une identit\u00e9 originale, leur dernier opus, \u201cThe Banished Heart\u201d, en est un exemple, s&rsquo;inspirant de nombreuses influences. Les adjectifs qui viennent en t\u00eate \u00e0 son \u00e9coute sont nombreux : sombre, tragique, somptueux, douloureux. Pas une partie de plaisir, mais une catharsis \u00e0 n&rsquo;en pas douter. Et quand on apprend le contexte de cr\u00e9ation de l&rsquo;album, on comprend mieux : l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 source de d\u00e9convenues et de chagrins intimes pour les deux musiciens en charge de l&rsquo;\u00e9criture, Cammie Gilbert et Dobber Beverly.<br \/>\n<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><br \/>\nIls ont utilis\u00e9 leurs histoires personnelles pour cr\u00e9er ce coeur banni. Et ils ont su extirper ce qu&rsquo;il y avait d&rsquo;authentique et de singulier dans leurs parcours pour \u00e9crire des chansons poignantes traitant de sujets universels : la perte, le deuil, l&rsquo;abandon&#8230; La voix de Cammie est pour beaucoup dans les nombreuses \u00e9motions qu&rsquo;on ressent \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9coute de l&rsquo;album. Elle est puissante, sans en faire trop. Elle se fait douce sans \u00eatre doucereuse, caressante et souple tout en \u00e9tant d&rsquo;une m\u00e9lancolie rare. Et elle se m\u00eale des instruments et des growls rageurs de ses acolytes dans une parfaite osmose.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;album est long, et parfois r\u00e9p\u00e9titif, mais ce ne sont pas des d\u00e9fauts. Comme lors d&rsquo;un deuil, The Banished Heart ressasse la douleur pour mieux la d\u00e9passer. Et par moments, une certaine gr\u00e2ce appara\u00eet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Trois singles sont sortis, avec des clips l\u00e9ch\u00e9s et d&rsquo;une beaut\u00e9 prenante. \u201cNo Color, No Light\u201d en particulier est un chef d&rsquo;oeuvre, non seulement pour le duo bouleversant entre Cammie Gilbert et Tom S. Englund du groupe Evergrey, mais \u00e9galement pour le clip int\u00e9grant des \u00e9l\u00e9ments visuels cr\u00e9\u00e9s par Costin Chioreanu, bien connu pour ses artworks tortur\u00e9s. Le tout est d&rsquo;une beaut\u00e9 rare, surtout par comparaison avec toutes ces vilaines lyric vid\u00e9os qui pullulent depuis un moment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14423 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artnroll.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Press_Photos_10-600x390.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artnroll.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Press_Photos_10-600x390.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.artnroll.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Press_Photos_10-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.artnroll.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Press_Photos_10-768x499.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Pour conclure, je te dirais que si tu viens de rompre, ou de perdre un \u00eatre cher, cet album n&rsquo;est peut-\u00eatre pas pour toi, pas tout de suite. Mais il a une beaut\u00e9 opulente et v\u00e9n\u00e9neuse qu&rsquo;il serait dommage de manquer.
