Il fait suite \u00e0 un premier EP \u00abPredators\u00a0\u00bb sorti sur K7 (\u00e0 l\u2019ancienne\u00a0!) en 2013.<\/p>\n<p>9 titres composent cette \u0153uvre de Death Metal classique o\u00f9 se m\u00ealent les diverses influences de groupes comme Morbid Angel, Entombed ou encore Obituary. L\u2019inspiration est \u00e9videmment plus proche de Lovecraft que de Pratchett sur le th\u00e8me du retour des grands anciens, et l\u2019av\u00e8nement de Cthulhu. Le son et la production sont plut\u00f4t bons pour un premier album. A noter la participation de Kam Lee (Death, Massacre) qui se la joue en <em>guest star vocals<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On d\u00e9marre tout en finesse avec un \u00ab\u00a0Hellspawn\u00a0\u00bb, qui nous fait revivre les heures glorieuses d\u2019un \u00ab\u00a0Blessed are the sick\u00a0\u00bb ou d\u2019un \u00ab\u00a0Left Hand path\u00a0\u00bb. Le groupe emmen\u00e9 par les growls du guitariste A. Wehrmacht (oui pas tr\u00e8s sicilien tout \u00e7a\u00a0!!) continue sur sa lanc\u00e9e avec les deux morceaux suivants. L\u2019intro du quatri\u00e8me titre \u00ab Ordo Decimatus \u00bb n\u2019est pas sans rappeler un certain \u00ab\u00a0Season of the Abyss\u00a0\u00bb de qui vous savez\u2026 une musique pesante et des riffs\u00a0un poil malsains, donnent un petit c\u00f4t\u00e9 Slayerien \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble, qui n\u2019est pas d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able.<\/p>\n<p>Le tempo repart avec le 5<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> morceau \u00ab\u00a0Beyond Eternity\u00a0\u00bb, la batterie s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re et la voix se fait plus agressive. Et l\u00e0\u2026<em> back to the future<\/em> avec \u00ab\u00a0Our Scorn\u2026 Our Silence\u00a0\u00bb un morceau instrumental dans la droite ligne de \u00ab\u00a0Desolate ways\u00a0\u00bb, petite intro aux deux derniers morceaux qui terminent en beaut\u00e9 ce \u00ab Scourge of Chaos \u00bb. Au final, on peut parler d\u2019un opus o\u00f9 l\u2019on ne s\u2019ennuie pas, les titres ne se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent pas, et couvrent les diff\u00e9rents styles de Death Metal des ann\u00e9es 90 en leur rajoutant juste ce qu\u2019il faut de modernit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Il faut avouer que quand on pense Sicile on pense Camorra, mafia, Corleone, olives et calzone plus que Death Metal, et pourtant ils ont bien du talent ces petits jeunes. Ils sont enthousiastes et \u00e7a se sent. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Daemonokrat, on sait maintenant que l\u2019Italie ne se r\u00e9sume pas \u00e0 Rhapsody ou Lacuna Coil\u2026 vous \u00eates fans du bon vieux Death Metal <em>old-school<\/em> des ann\u00e9es 90\u00a0?
