Je partais donc avec un apriori plut\u00f4t positif avant l\u2019\u00e9coute de leur deuxi\u00e8me album\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un premier EP (The Coming Life) sorti en 2010 puis un premier album sorti en 2014 (Dear Morpheus) Evenline revient gonfl\u00e9 \u00e0 bloc pour ce nouvel opus intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0In Tenebris\u00a0\u00bb. D\u00e8s les premiers morceaux, on comprend que les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences affich\u00e9es sont bien pr\u00e9sentes. Evenline apporte un c\u00f4t\u00e9 beaucoup plus sombre dans son univers. On regrette n\u00e9anmoins ne pas retrouver l\u2019\u00e9nergie que peut avoir Papa Roach.<\/p>\n<p>Les m\u00e9lodies sont tr\u00e8s travaill\u00e9es, tout comme les textes. Arnaud repousse son chant clair jusqu\u2019\u00e0 atteindre ses limites vocales sur des parties tr\u00e8s aigues, ce qui les rend particuli\u00e8rement touchantes.<\/p>\n<p>On retient notamment \u00ab\u00a0All Against Me\u00a0\u00bb, une entr\u00e9e en mati\u00e8re m\u00ealant \u00e9nergie, m\u00e9lodie et t\u00e9n\u00e8bres. Le rythme percutant de \u00ab\u00a0StraitJacket\u00a0\u00bb qui vient bousculer un peu l\u2019auditeur. On aime les solos de \u00ab\u00a0Silene Capensis\u00a0\u00bb et la reprise improbable mais g\u00e9niale de \u00ab\u00a0Deeper Underground\u00a0\u00bb de Jamiroquai. Reprise qui garde son groove et son riff implacable.<\/p>\n<p>In tenebris est un bon album de metal alternatif, le groupe se positionne sur un march\u00e9 hyper concurrentiel avec un produit plus sombre.
