Le quatuor toulousain de Cancel the Appocalypse se compose d\u2019une violoncelliste, un batteur, un guitariste acoustique et du chanteur Mathieu. Ils nous proposent une musique empreinte d\u2019\u00e9motion, alternant sensibilit\u00e9 et puissance vocale dans un registre\u00a0\u00ab Post-metal acoustique \u00bb. D\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res secondes on comprend qu\u2019ils vont envoyer du lourd pendant leur heure de jeu. Les deux guitaristes, bassiste et chanteur se mettent en ligne pour un headbang d\u2019anthologie. \u00c7a joue vite, c&rsquo;est explosif et on en ressort quelque peu assomm\u00e9. Lors de son interview, Diogo le guitariste, nous promet un nouvel album plus riche en m\u00e9lodie, un peu moins violent&#8230; j&rsquo;ai h\u00e2te de voir ce que \u00e7a donne.<\/p>\n<p>On retient surtout l\u2019\u00e9nergie du groupe qui harangue le public et demande \u00e0 chaque morceau la formation d\u2019un circle pit. Des panneaux blancs, des lumi\u00e8res, des ordinateurs envahissent peu \u00e0 peu l\u2019espace. Ma curiosit\u00e9 est piqu\u00e9e au vif. Le groupe fait son entr\u00e9e devant une audience acquise \u00e0 leur cause. Les images d\u00e9filent sur les panneaux au son de la musique enivrante du groupe. Je regarde le public, une bonne partie a les yeux ferm\u00e9s et semble vivre ce d\u00e9but de concert de mani\u00e8re presque religieuse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cela fait \u00e9cho avec ce que le groupe nous racontait en interview un peu plus t\u00f4t.<\/p>\n<p>Mais d\u00e8s que la musique part sur des riffs plus sauvages, avec du screaming, c\u2019est toute la fosse qui sort de sa l\u00e9thargie pour entrer dans un pogo.<br \/>\nLes morceaux s\u2019enchainent dans une ambiance alternant des instants planants avec des passages saccad\u00e9s, puissants voire violents. La synchronisation son\/lumi\u00e8re fonctionne vraiment bien. Un concert d\u2019Hypno5e c\u2019est une exp\u00e9rience \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1-3Doavkvj4\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Le groupe quitte la sc\u00e8ne au bout d\u2019une heure, puis revient pour un rappel de plus de 30min avec seulement 2 morceaux. Le public chante, bouge mais je suis un peu frustr\u00e9e car la setlist ne propose toujours pas le magnifique \u00ab tio \u00bb, extrait de leur dernier album. Le groupe quitte de nouveau la sc\u00e8ne et commence \u00e0 ranger son mat\u00e9riel, les lumi\u00e8res s\u2019allument et on se dit que le concert est termin\u00e9. Il est suivi du batteur qui met en place une caisse claire, puis du reste du groupe\u2026. Va-t-on avoir \u00ab tio \u00bb en version acoustique ?<br \/>\nL\u2019installation prend du temps, on sent que c\u2019est une premi\u00e8re. Manu fait asseoir tout le public rest\u00e9 pour cette<\/p>\n<p>derni\u00e8re session et, dans ce climat convivial, entame les premi\u00e8res notes du morceau tant attendu.
